Dear WEEXers,
The popularity of WEEX is growing and our industry ranking is also going up due to our rapid development as an exchange. Unfortunately, this increased visibility also means that there are various fraudulent websites and trading platforms impersonating WEEX. These fraudulent impersonators often register domain names which are similar to weex.com, or develop fake trading apps and make unauthorized use of our WEEX logo to market themselves as WEEX. These fakes often target users through interests such as 'high-yield financial earnings' and 'networking online.' They also send phishing links to users in private messages on social media platforms such as Telegram, and use schemes such as high-yield financial earnings, trade-to-earn, or deposit rewards to lure users into investing funds in crypto. Once the user deposits funds, these fraudulent platforms will freeze the account under a variety of pretexts, refuse to allow the user to withdraw the funds, or even shut down the website to escape responsibility, and later change the website URL and identity to continue the fraud.
WEEX has published several risk warnings and fraud prevention tips on several occasions and exposed dozens of fake websites and other entities imitating WEEX, but there are still users who are deceived despite the warnings. We would like to caution the public once more to be wary and vigilant against impostors to avoid being deceived.
