Dear WEEXer,
Read on to find out why the copy position size can be different from the elite trader in copy trading.
FAQ
Why is my position size different from the elite trader I'm copying?
Let's consider the following scenario:
Elite Trader A makes an elite trade of 90 lots with a leverage of 100× and Copier B copies this.
Copier B copies the elite trader with their position size set to 130 and the leverage set to 5×. However, Copier B's actual position size is 66 lots.
Why is this happening?
The answer is as follows:
Copier B has only 400 USDT of equity in their futures account, and therefore cannot afford the margin of nearly 800 USDT for a position of 130 lots with 5× leverage. Copier B can only open a position of up to 66 lots with the available margin of 400 USDT.
You can calculate the margin of your desired position size with the calculator provided on the futures trading page.
