Dear WEEXer,
Phishing is social engineering attack in which fraudsters use malicious links or software while disguised as WEEX to trick victims into providing sensitive information such as usernames, passwords, and 2FA, in order to steal digital assets. Common phishing methods that these WEEX impostors use include:
- Fake WEEX emails.
- Cloned WEEX websites.
- SMS with fake WEEX links.
- Tampering with WEEX links on social media.
- Listing fake WEEX customer service phone numbers and links in search engine results.
- Fake WEEX customer service on chat tools.
- Free software downloaded from the Internet.
- Creating a malicious free WiFi access point.
Thank you for supporting WEEX!
